E-test electro competent ENGLISH

The following 4 topics are tested through 40 multiple choice questions:

• Basic concepts in automotive electricity:
  • Electrical quantities & Ohm's law
  • Correct use of a multimeter
  • Voltage distribution in a circuit (v4 measurement)
  • Interpreting and simplifying a basic electric diagram
• Electrically controlled circuits and accessories:
  • A relay-controlled circuit and the operation of a relay
  • Determining the power, fuse and wire thickness to drive an accessory
• The starting and charging circuit:
  • The specifications and properties of a battery
  •  The architecture and operation of a starting system and a charging circuit
• Diagnosis and repair of basic electrical circuits
  • Types of electrical errors
  • Reading out error codes using a diagnostic tool
  • Repair of the wiring The questions are randomly selected from a very large database ensuring the reliability of the test result.

This e-test verifies whether the participant has sufficient basic knowledge of electrical systems to be able to work as a service mechanic.

The test is aimed at service mechanics in the garage industry. The participants have completed the Educam "electro competent" trajectory or have equivalent experience.

Duration: 4 x 20 min for each subject, and max. 80 min.

Those who pass for all the parts of this e-test, receive a sectoral certificate "electro competent employee". With this certificate, the employee demonstrates their basic knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles.

This certificate allows the participant to start the level 2 trainings "Diagnostic Technician".

This certificate is also a prerequisite to register for the HEV3 certification course.
